      Technical Information

      PDM offer form processing which can be applied across many industries for example banking, marketing, insurance. This results in saving both vast amounts of time and effort.

      Form processing is the capture of information from handwritten documents e.g. customer surveys, questionnaires and polls. Once captured the information is scanned and then exported into one of many formats which will then enable effortless data analysis.


      Document Archiving:
      • Able to upload documents, that will enable users to find the resource documents they need.
      • Organise documents by criteria such as author, document type, keyword, categories, date published and ISDN number.
      • Database Driven System which supports many File Formats.
      • Advanced Search.
      • Easy-To-Use User Interface.


      Indexing:
      • Thesaurus and Synonym Table for "shortcut" indexing. Keyword Table.
      • Can import all file types, including:- TIFF; JPG; BMP; DOC; XLS; MSG.
      • Options for COLD, barcode OCR indexing, Document Routing, Audit Trails, Forms Recognition complimented by WebServer and Remote Station capabilities.
      • Electronic document support allows users to store any Windows based document format, including word processed documents (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), e-mail, voice mail, movie files and audio files.
      • ASCII and EBCDIC data can be imported.
      • Templates are user-definable.
      • Plug-ins for non-standard documents are user-definable using vbscript/jscript.
      • Log files are generated for all activity. Industry standard compression and encryption technology used.
      • FTP-control accesses files from other systems. OLE DB/ODBC databases are supported.
      • Indices can be selected and exported for distribution of data.
      • Fully integrates with the Microsoft Office product suite.
      • Automatic indexing of non-COLD data by creation of "watched" folders.


      Data Retrieval :
      • Search across all files regardless of the originating application and without the need for the source application to be installed.
      • Natural language searches.
      • Numerical searches.
      • Intelligent relevancy ranking of search results.
      • Word or phrase searches.
      • Connector addition - and/or/not.
      • Wild card searches.
      • Sound-alike phonetic recognition.

      • Images can be e-mailed out using a MAPI compliant mail client.
